Investors of three liquidated banks protest before the Central Bank
Baku/06.07.20/Turan: A group of depositors of three closed banks - Amrahbank, Atabank and NBC Bank - tried to hold a protest rally in front of the Central Bank on July 6.
According to the participants, they have not been able to receive their contributions for several months. “We applied to all instances, including the Deposit Insurance Fund. There is no official answer. That is why we came here today, but there are no results.
We all have problems, someone needs treatment, and someone is unemployed. This is our money, and we want to return it,” said one of the investors.
Police demanded that them to disperse and not violate the quarantine regime. Then a group of four was allowed to go to the Central Bank.
Attempts to get comment from the Central Bank were futile. -0-
