Landslide Intensified in TV Tower Area
Baku / 23.01.18 / Turan: Landslide processes have intensified on the territory adjacent to the State TV Tower. According to the observations of the Ministry of Ecology, in several places the width of cracks on the ground has reached 1 m 40 cm and continues to grow.
Cracks have also appeared 200-250 meters from the TV Tower itself. Experts explain their appearance with construction work at the foot of the hill and heavy rainfall.
The depth of cracks in a number of places has already reached 7 meters. For the first time, the cracks were fixed on January 1 and since then they have been increasing.
Note that the TV Tower area is historically considered a landslide zone and about every 10 years in this area there is a serious movement of the earth. In spite of this, the construction of housing and other objects is continuing in this zone. -05D-
