Lankaran resident arrested for media interviews
A resident of Lankaran Shahin Agayev was arrested Feb. 6 on charges of drug possession. But the family Agayev believes that the arrest was caused by his complaint in the media that on January 14 this year, his daughter Arzu Agayeva - a student of Grade 6 of School No 8 was beaten by a teacher.
In social networks, the video was distributed, which filmed the director of this school, threatening to punish Shahin Agayev.
According to the Agayev family, a close relative of the director is a member of the Southern Regional Office of the Chief Directorate for Combating Drugs.
Early in the morning on February 6 masked men broke down the glass windows and doors in Agayev’s house. They conducted an illegal search, in which nothing was found. The masked men beat Shahin Agayev in front of his children, and then, twisting his arms, took him away, according to his family.
Press officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Orkhan Mansurzadeh confirmed that against Shahin Agayev a criminal case was filed under Article 234.2. According to Mansurzadeh, he was arrested for selling 7.6 grams of marijuana. They are searching for the man whom Agayev wanted to sell this drug. Mansurzadeh denied that Agayev was arrested in connection with the complaints in the media.
Note that Shahin Agayev after beating his daughter by the teacher gave an interview with the newspaper Bizim Yol on January 14. Agayev claimed that as a result of a slap applied by the teacher, his daughter had her eardrum torn. The school principal, in turn, said that the teacher was reprimanded. -03D04-
