Baku/19.07.22/Turan: The Media Development Agency called on the media to comply with the law when covering reports of suicides among minors.
The Agency's appeal says that it is undesirable to write about the methods of suicide and details, to make such headlines. Such messages must be submitted adequately and not allowed to be propagated, the report says. With regard to children, the requirements of the law of Azerbaijan "On the protection of children from harmful information" must be observed.
The agency urges not to forget about responsibility to society and adhere to professional ethics, the appeal says.
At the same time, there are no specific examples or clear frameworks in the appeal. The recommendations are of a general nature. --02D--
