Media Review - December 19, 2018
The use of modern technology in agrarian reforms, the MP' view of the situation in the education system, and the institution of the family and its problems are the leading themes of today's media.
The Azerbaijan newspaper discusses the topic of reforms in the agricultural sector against the backdrop of the two-day international forum AgTech and Green Energy held in Baku (agricultural technologies and green energy).
Up to 40 specialists from 15 countries took part in the forum, among them were representatives of leading technology companies. Forum participants discussed issues such as ensuring food security, increasing yields, environmental protection and other issues.
The website Oxu.az gives an opinion on the situation in the education system against the background of the discussion in the parliament on December 18 of the draft law "On General Education".
The MPs proposed, due to the workload of schoolchildren, to somewhat simplify the mode of study.
From 8 am to 10 pm schoolchildren are forced to study, which is too much.
The issue of tutoring was also discussed, which remains relevant for many years. In addition, the MPs talked about the cost of education, which is very expensive.
The website Qafqazinfo.az writes about divorces, noting that the statistics on this issue are shocking. The lawyer Alesker Mammadli notes that over the past 10 years (2008-2018) the dynamics of divorces have increased in Azerbaijan.
During this period, the number of divorces increased by 146%. Only for one month of the current year the number of divorces was 12,396.
While 10 years ago, one out of ten families divorced, then this year it is every fourth. -0-----
