The development of education in the country, the impact of infertility on the family system, and the likelihood of recovering children's cash benefits are topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the modern strategy for the development of education in the country, carried out for 16 years by President Ilham Aliyev.
Since 2003, the cost of education has increased by more than 9 times, reaching 2.3 billion manat in 2019. In the period 2003-2018, over 3,200 schools were built and fundamentally repaired.
In the 2019-2020 academic year, another 50 mobile schools designed for 3,500 students will be commissioned.
The website Modern.az writes about the problem of infertility and its impact on the family. According to data, every tenth family in Azerbaijan is barren. For 6 months of 2019, 8,324 divorces were registered; among the reasons there is infertility.
90% of parents concealed the presence of diseases in their daughters when they married. Experts say that with early detection of infertility it can be cured.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat discusses the issue of restoring the payment of children's cash benefits with expert Vugar Bayramov. According to him, the Center for Economic and Social Development headed by him submitted to the government a package of proposals on this issue based on the experience of other countries.
In Italy, for example, child allowances are issued according to family income. If the income is 11,442 euros, then each child is given 250 euros. As family income grows, the amount of child benefits changes. In Azerbaijan, it is believed that rich families that do not need these benefits will receive them, and for families with an income of 400 manat, 100 manat of children's money is a significant amount. The expert believes that the Italian model is the most acceptable. Payment of children's money will require about 800 million manat per year, the expert notes.
