Metropolitan Municipality illegally demolished next newsstand
Last night the City Hall staff illegally demolished Newsstand № 57 of the firm Gasid. As the owner of the object Kamran Huseynov told Turan, his stall was located at 17 Samad Vurgun Street. According to him, during the demolition he was not given any explanation other than a threat: "Be thankful that you were not arrested."
He was not paid compensation for the damage or offered another object or place to work.
According to Huseynov, he was subtly deceived by the workers of City Hall that on November 1 informed him that the kiosk should be removed, since the adjacent school No 1 must be visited by President Ilham Aliyev. But then the kiosk could be restored. Huseynov agreed to this option.
On the new kiosk, he spent 4,350 manats and started working, but a couple of days later, the mayoralty workers demolished it.
Note that the newsstand belongs to the firm for the dissemination of printed materials Gasid. For several years, the City Hall has methodically demolished the kiosks of this company around the city. -05B04-
