Baku/28.11.22/Turan: Over 10 months of 2022, 9564 drug-related criminal offenses were detected in Azerbaijan. This is stated in a message of the State Commission for Combating Drug Trafficking for January-October 2022.
Note that 3181 crimes are connected with the sale of drugs, 5902 – with the acquisition, 393 – with illegal cultivation, 88 – others.
In total, 5 tons 62 kg of drugs were seized (more than 2 tons of this - heroin), 32,918 narcotic pills and 2,514 psychotropic.
Also, 80 foreigners involved in drug trafficking were detained. 37 citizens of Iran, 16 - Russia, 11 – Turkey, 9 – Georgia, 2 – Turkmenistan, 1 each – Georgia, Pakistan, Ukraine and Maldives
Recall that 1039 kg of drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from foreigners. -05B06-

Complaints about a foul gas-like odor persist in the Əhmədli, Günəşli, NZS settlements, and some other areas of Baku. Residents report that the issue has been ongoing for several days.

One more child, who was injured in a road accident in Imishli region on 18 January, died in Baku hospital. Despite the efforts of doctors, the life of the minor born in 2015 could not be saved.

Opposition members detained for critical social media posts were released on the same day, with no reports of mistreatment by authorities, Musavat Party deputy chairman Mustafa Hajibeyli told Turan news agency.
