New Deputy Head of the State Security Service
By the order of the President, Ismail Bagirov was appointed Deputy Chief of the State Security Service (SSS) , according to the head of the press service of the SSS Arif Babayev. Before he worked Bagirov worked as the head of counterintelligence Department of the SSS, where he was appointed at the end of 2015 after the dismissal of the head of the Minister of National Security Eldar Mahmudov on 17 October.
Earlier Bagirov worked for the Ministry of National Security, but was fired after the dismissal of the Minister Namik Abbasov in 2004. According to the same source, General Ali Shafiev was appointed head of the Academy of SSS instead of the recently deceased Ziya Yusifzade. -06В-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
