Over 440,000 Students to Join Baku Schools in New School Year
Baku / 06.09.18 / Turan: In the 2018/2019 academic year in Baku, the schools subordinated to the Baku City Education Department will receive 442,147 students. This is stated in the message of the Baku City Education Department.
The first classes will receive more than 47,000 students, the IX classes will receive 30,139, the X classes will receive 21,102, the XI classes will receive 20,379, and the XII classes (experimental) will receive 690.
In 263 secondary schools, 940 pre-school groups are supposed to function. 17,500 students were enrolled in them through on-line registration. In 2018-2019, 75% of five-year-olds will be involved in pre-school education.
The Baku City Education Department operates 317 educational institutions, including 307 secondary schools, 3 special type schools, and 7 intramural / extramural schools. -05D06-
