Over Past Days, Border Guards Seized More Than 8 Kg of Drugs
Baku / 25.09.20 / Turan: On September 15-18, border guards confiscated more than 8 kg of various drugs and more than 8,800 tablets of psychotropic substances from drug couriers near the border with Iran.
Drug couriers were detained in particular on the territory of the Beylagan, Fizuli and Imishli regions.
Among the detained drug couriers there are two citizens of Azerbaijan and three citizens of Iran. They were seized almost 3 kg of opium, more than 2 kg of methamphetamine, 3.7 kg of heroin, as well as hundreds of methadone tablets and other psychotropic substances.
On all three facts, criminal cases were initiated, and the detainees were arrested. --0--

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
