Peasants in the Zardab region protested against the seizure of pastures (UPDATED)
Baku / 20.02.20 / Turan: The reason for the protest in the village of Chally was the sale of pasture areas to some local residents and the former head of the Zardob district, Lutvali Babayev.
“For many years, these illegally sold territories have not been returned to us. People were tired of waiting for the restoration of justice and allowed livestock to pasture. Today the police arrived there, detaining three people and beating another 2-3 people, ”a source in the village said.
The head of the municipality of the village of Chally Eyub Azizov refused to comment on the Turan agency and advised him to turn to the “relevant structures”.
It was not possible to get comments from the Zardob Executive.
