Penitentiary Service denies Bagirzade's hunger strike
Baku/28.11.22/Turan: The Penitentiary Service of Azerbaijan denied information about a hunger strike by the leader of the Muslim Unity Movement Tal Bagirzade. The head of the public relations department of the Penitentiary Service, Mehman Sadigov, at the request of Turan, said that the information about Bagirzade's hunger strike is not true. He also denied allegations of physical and moral pressure on him.
In turn, Bagirzade's wife Leyla Ismailzade said that her husband informed her about the start of the hunger strike on November 27, after he was transferred from the Gobustan prison to jail N 12 the day before.
*In 2015, Bagirzade was arrested during a special operation in Nardaran and sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges of terrorism, attempting to change the constitutional order, creating an illegal armed group, etc. He was recognized as a political prisoner. ---06B---
