PFPA Activist Arrested for Thirty Days
Baku / 26.10.18 / Turan: Ibrahim Ibrahimli, an activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, was arrested for 30 days.
He was detained on October 16 and by the decision of the Tovuz district court he was sentenced to 30 days of arrest under Article 535.1 (not subordinating to the lawful demand of a police representative) of the Code of Administrative Offenses, the PFPA press service said.
A few days after his arrest, his father died and Ibrahimli was released for a day to attend the funeral.
The PFPA believes that Ibrahimli was arrested for critical statuses on Facebook.
The authorities have not yet commented on the arrest of Ibrahimli. -06D--
