Samir Hasanov, activist of the local youth organization of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) detained in Sheki on May 30, was released on May 2. This was reported to Turan by a member of the PFPA Board Ilham Huseyn. Hasanov himself did not clarify the reasons for the detention.
"Obviously, he was detained because of his critical status in Facebook, or in connection with his political position," Huseyn said. PFPA announced the detention of Hasanov on April 30 by officers of the Sheki district police department. The police department did not comment on the information about Hasanov's detention. -06D-
