Evaluation of their visits to Azerbaijan by foreign officials, the difference between groups on the social and material basis, and the problem of water supply in Baku are the leading topics of today's press.

In 2016, 27 new foreign ambassadors to Azerbaijan  were appointed. A total of 59 Azerbaijani embassies, 9 consulates, and 5 offices work abroad.

The website Azadliq.info has published an article entitled "How the population of Azerbaijan lives." The article presents evaluations on this subject from the economist Gubad Ibadoglu, which divides the population into 6 groups. The first group includes the very rich, the second - just the rich, the third – the largest owners and managers of large well-known companies, the fourth – the small and medium-sized businesses, the fifth - the poor, and the sixth - the extremely poor.

Novoye Vremya has published an article devoted to the problem of drinking water supply in the capital.

Azerbaijan is at 70% supplied with water from the border rivers, which creates certain difficulties. During the period from 2011 to 2014 the country's water infrastructure was spent 2.7 billion manat (3.4 billion dollars). The only way to improve the efficiency of the water supply infrastructure is efficiency of the investment and responsibility of Azersu to the consumers.
