In 2016, Consumer Prices Rose by 12.4%
In 2016 inflation in Azerbaijan totaled 12.4%. Food rose in price by 14.7% on the average as compared to 2015, non-food products – by 16.7%, and services – by 5.8%, the State Statistics Committee said.
In December, consumer prices increased in comparison with November by 3%, including food products – by 4.1%, non-food products – by 2.2% and paid services to the population – by 2.4%.
In 2015, inflation was 4%, and in 2014 - 1.4%.
The governmental forecast for the current year is not optimistic - 7.3%. ----08D
