The non-governmental press writes about the likelihood of the arrest of a number of heads of executive authorities, as well as on the situation with dollar-denominated loans.
The Azadlig suggests that the laid-off chief executives of the Jabrayil, Lachin and Salyan districts can be arrested. The inspection of their activities has already started. The unrest of the population of these areas after the 11 January devaluation and later was discussed “at the top”.
The newspaper reminds that the protests were also held in the Lankaran, Fizuli, Siyazan, Agjabedi, Agsu, Guba, Astara, Beylagan and Jalilabad regions.
The Yeni Musavat discusses the problems with the return of dollar loans by the population. The government is not going to meet the people in this issue, the newspaper says.
MP Vahid Ahmedov says the government and the Central Bank definitely have to solve this problem, which has repeatedly emerged. The Chairman of the Microfinance Association Suleiman Kalashov believes that this issue creates problems for entrepreneurs. He believes dollar loans should be returned at the rate of 30%, while manat loans – at 70%.
The population has become more active in this matter. So 27 people having debts to banks merged and applied to the court against the banks. Many debtors have begun to turn to the Anti-Collector Center, which provides them with legal services on the bad loans issue. -0-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
