The official newspaper Azerbaijan published an article on the economic development of the regions. At the last meeting of the Cabinet Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is developing in conditions of crisis, and the results of the first half of the year 2016 show that year will be completed successfully.
The author also mentions loans issued to entrepreneurs, which contribute to the development of regions.
Azadlig gives commentary by Nemat Aliyev in connection with the state budget. He argues that at any moment the cost of consumer goods may rise, since the state budget revenues have decreased.
Thus, income from VAT decreased 33.4%, as compared to January. Total budget revenue fell more than 45% in May, and in June, the situation became even worse.
Yeni Musavat has published an interview by MP Vahid Ahmadov, in which he talks about the increase of tariffs for electricity and the economic situation in this regard. The MP noted that the government did that due to the fall in oil prices and the devaluation of the manat.
He says that over the past 12 years there were not effective measures to develop the economy, and all the government's attention was directed to filling the state budget.
The MP believes that the use of alternative energy should be applied. In Sumgait a large factory has been built to produce solar panels, which can be used for electricity supply in high-rise buildings. Wind power should also be used. The author also addresses the issue of officials grabbing lands. There are people who buy 200-300 ha each, but do not use the land.
