"Azadlig"

Because of the negligence of the leadership of a military unit, a soldier Tural Gasimov was not sent in time for medical examination. He is diseased with leukemia (blood cancer.)  Currently he has been, and is in the Ganja hospital.

Chairman of the National Council, Rustam Ibrahimbayov, made a statement   that  he has received support the  U.S. officials  about his nomination as a single candidate for president.

Popular Front Party functionaries, who participated in the meeting of the Gazakh branch of the party, were detained in Aghstafa. They were taken to the city of Ganja, and then released.

“Washington Post” sees repression on the part of Ilham Aliyev as a continuation of Putin's repression.

Official Baku demanded to dismiss the activist  of the NIDA Movement, Aygun Panjaliyeva from International School. Otherwise, the school may be  closed.

First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva could become a candidate for the presidency from authorities, in turn, the opposition may nominate a single candidate in the person of Rustam Ibrahimbayov.

A meeting of the " Great Eight" is talking place today in Belfast.  The meeting will consider the  issue of Azerbaijan, and  it is regarded by the newspaper as fact of defining the fate of the  Azerbaijani authorities in Ireland.

 After 18 months of investigation, the  Prosecutor's Office in Vienna revealed the corruption that took place in 2005. The Azerbaijani authorities have received the "cap" from the Austrian Central Bank in the amount of 14 million euros for printing in Austria  the Azerbaijani national currency. -0-
