The Formula-1 races in Baku, dependence on oil, and advertising prospects in Azerbaijan are the topics of today's press.
The Azerbaijan writes about the competitions Formula-1, which supposedly has more than 500 million viewers in 190 countries and that the attention of the whole world is focused on Baku and that more than 100 news agencies of the world tell about the competitions.
The Novoye Vremya writes about the need to get out of the oil trap. Recently, oil prices are not only unstable, but also show a fall. Azerbaijan, despite the reforms of recent years, remains an oil-dependent country, and therefore a further drop in oil prices can quickly bring to naught some improvement that has been observed in certain indicators since the beginning of the year and destroy the stable exchange rate of the national currency.
The Yeni Musavat writes about the prospects of the advertising market in Azerbaijan and about how the government will take it under control.
The author makes an excursion into the history of the issue and assesses the activities of the only official Advertising and Information Office in the country under the Baku Mayor's office. Henceforth, a state advertising agency will be created, which is not right, according to the expert Natig Jafarli.
