Baku / 05.01.18 / Turan: Two citizens protesting against fencing a residential quarter in the Nasimi district of the capital were detained by the police and taken to the Nasimi district police station today.
Some time later, they were released. Police warned that the fence is the property of Grand Plaza MMC and residents of the quarter at the intersection of the street. Suleiman Rustam, Khanif Aleskerov, Khan Shushinsky and Gul Guliyev, are responsible for its damage. On January 4 and December 30, residents of this quarter managed to prevent the construction of a fence that prevents people, said Turan resident of one of the houses Samir Jafarov. He also said that in mid-November 2017, every resident of this quarter (104 families) received a letter from the Nasimi district Executive Power with a proposal to sign a document with the company Grand Plaza to demolish their apartments.
Representatives of the construction company promised at this place, consisting of 2-4-storey houses, to build multi-storey buildings in which each owner of a destroyed house will receive an apartment the size by 20% more than before; and during the construction, tenants will receive 200-300 manats per month for rental housing.
Only two families agreed, the others did not believe in verbal assurances and demanded a documentary confirmation of the promises. In addition, the rent for housing during the construction period also seemed to be understated.
Representatives of the developer gave an example of their previous construction project 7 Points on the street Samad Vurgun, but the tenants found out that according to the complaint of the residents of the house on S.Vurgun, the economic court took the side of citizens, forbidding the demolition of the existing building. The builders managed to damage the house on S.Vurgun, and after the court's decision they left the territory. Realizing that the tenants are aware of this, the company representatives did not come to the citizens more, delegating realtors to the negotiations. Nevertheless, the construction fence, after two-day unsuccessful attempts, was started on January 5.
The head of the 14th Housing and Communal Services, Ramin Piriyev, does not interfere in the conflict.
"We organized a group of tenants and began to gather in the yard almost every day. A collective decision was made to write complaints and requests to the relevant state bodies. What was our surprise when, in one of the purchased apartments on the first floor of the house, the developer opened his office and on December 30, 2017 decided to start building a fence right in front of the neighbor's apartment windows, which did not sell their apartment and live in it," residents wrote to Turan.
The executive power of Nasimi district in an official letter to the residents of the block writes that the authorities of the capital intend to demolish old and emergency houses, replacing them with new ones with comfortable living conditions. The authorities propose tenants to agree with the construction company and accept the terms of the developer.
But tenants do not believe the company, and the terms proposed by the builders are considered inadequate for the market value of their property. Turan failed to contact Grand Plaza.
Residents sent complaints to the government, the Milli Majlis, the prosecutor's office and are waiting for official answers. S.Jafarov said, the citizens intend to file a lawsuit in the economic court, they hired a lawyer. They will demand the termination of construction work. -0-
