One oppositionist is arrested for 30 days, the second cannot be found
Baku/05.01.18/Turan: Member of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Natig Kazimov was arrested for 30 days for "not subordinating the police", Turan was informed by the lawyer Asabali Mustafayev. The lawyer suggested that Kazimov is held in the Absheron District Police Department. However, the lawyer was unable to obtain more detailed information in the police. Mustafayev noted that Kazimov's arrest was confirmed by him in the ombudsman's office.
The lawyer failed to establish a place for the content of another PFPA activist - Rashid Farajli. Both opposition members were summoned to the police on the eve and ordered to return there on 5 January.
In PFPA believe that Kazymov was arrested for calling to residents of the village of Gobu to hold a peaceful action before the gas department in view of interruptions in gas supply. Farajli, according to PFPA, is harassed from the activity in social networks on the Internet. -16D-
