"Sabah" pleasantly surprised, "Karanakh" snatched victory, "Neftchi" predictably lost
Baku / 11.08.23 / Turan: On August 11, three Azerbaijani football clubs played the first matches of the 3rd round of European cup tournaments, and all played in Baku.
FC "Karabakh" in the Europa League in a match with the Finnish "HJK" in a bitter struggle pulled out a victory in the last minutes of the meeting and won with a score of 2:1.
I was pleasantly surprised by the debutant of the competition in the Conference League FC Sabah, who in the match with the "old-timer" of European cups "Partizan" from Belgrade dominated the field for almost the entire game and materialized this advantage in a victory with a difference of two goals - 2:0. At the same time, the Baku team did not convert the penalty.
And "Neftchi" Baku, also playing in the League of Conferences, predictably lost to the eminent Istanbul "Besiktas" 1:3.
The return matches will take place on August 17.-06B-
