Sheikh Pashazade condemns Israel for the massacre in Gaza

Caucasian Muslims Department  (CMD) organized  hearing on the occasion of annual Muslim Day Gudsa (Jerusalem.)

Sheikh  Allahshukur Pashazade reminded that  Gudsa Day is marked  at the  initiative leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini on the last Friday of Ramadan. "This was done to Gudsa remembrance and solidarity with the Palestinian people, which for a long time alone struggles  against  the enemy," said Pashazade.

"The Events in the Middle East, Gaza, Iraq, in the Muslim world as a whole,  seriously concern us,"  continued the sheikh.

He regretted that many Islamic countries  are caught up by terrorist states. Every day, hundreds of people are killed by terrorists. "The Arab revolution" eventually caused  the destruction of the state, tyranny, terrorism and other negative events," Pashazade said.

Referring to the situation in Gaza, Pashazade called massacres of civilians a "crime against humanity", placing the responsibility on Israel. "I call on Israel to stop military operations in Gaza,"  he said.

Next, the event has been affected and the situation in Iraq. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Haydar al Barrak expressed the opinion that the organization "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (LIH) are "external forces" and she has no support inside Iraq.

The  situation in Iraq was also touched, he said. Iraqi people consist mainly of Arabs, Kurds and Turks, so the fate of the country should decide they, and  not the external forces.

"From the events in Iraq we see  the attempts to incite  hatred and enmity in the Islamic world,"  said Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakayin who made his  in English.   The Iranian ambassador also condemned Israel for its military actions in Gaza. A statement was adopted, where the events in Gaza are regarded as "horrendous crime against humanity."

Such a tragedy occurs against indifferent attitude of the world community. Azerbaijani people are well familiar with this situation, because we faced such horrors during the genocide in Khojaly. The authors of the statement urged the international community to stop the tragedy in Gaza, Iraq and Syria. -05C-
