Snowfalls block the road Guba-Khinalig
Heavy snowfall blocked the highway from the town of Guba (168 km. North of Baku) to the village of Khinalig - the highest mountain in Azerbaijan (2300 m. Above sea level.) According to the Ministry of Ecology, level of snowfall was more than half a meter, which made impossible vehicular traffic on this route the length of which is 57 km long. In some places, there was the threat of avalanches. Road services continue clearing the road of snow, but the snow is forecast to continue. The similar situation is in the area of the alpine ski resort "Shahdag". Road travel from the city of Gusar to the base is also loaded. Currently, hundreds of people are having rest on the base.-02D-
