Social conditions of passport officers will improve
The plenary session of the Azerbaijani parliament adopted amendments to the Law "On State Duty." The innovation provides collections from issuing civil identity cards, as well as the issuance and replacement of the passport.
According to the new wording of the first paragraph of Article 4 (Rules of calculation and payment of the fee), 20% of the proceeds from each case of the issuance or replacement of the mentioned types of documents will be used to improve the social conditions of the employees of relevant offices of executive agencies (except for employees of «ASAN».) The funds will accumulate on special accounts of the Interior Ministry. --17D—

Military expert and regular on state television channels, Adalat Verdiyev, has been accused of a serious crime—disclosure of military secrets. According to the charge (Article 308 of the Criminal Code), if the accused can prove the disclosure was unintentional, they may face 3 to 7 years in prison. Under aggravating circumstances, the sentence could range from 4 to 8 years.
