Ten Railway Medical Institutions Closed
Several medical institutions under the Azerbaijan Railways have been liquidated. They include the Ganja Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology and the outpatient clinics in Yevlakh and Kurdamir. It is reported by the press service of the railway.
Also liquidated are the Plague Station of the Medical-Sanitary Service, the Lankaran and Ujar railway outpatient stations, the Salyan and Hajigabul Railway Hospitals, and the Imishli railway Epidemiology and Hygiene Center.
The press service explained that this is due to financial problems, because this year state budgetary funds have not been allocated to these institutions. They were invited to start self-financing. Those who did not cope with it, were eliminated.
As for the fate of the staff, no decision on their fate has been made yet.
Recall that in January this year, there were publications in the media on the closure of railway health facilities due to financial problems. -04D-
