The lawyer Asabali Mustafayev, protecting the interests of Sumgait youth organization of PFPA Ruslan Garayev, again was not allowed to meet with his client. According to the lawyer, on July 30, he was forced to stand for hours in front of the police building in Sumgait.
"This is the fourth time I am not allowed to meet with Ruslan Garayev. Last time I was allowed to meet with him on July 25. However, the meeting of the lawyer with his client does not require official permission. I called to 102-service, to the Ombudsman Office, but to no avail," said the lawyer. According to him, he will be forced to take the necessary measures. In turn, the Ministry of Interior does not comment on the situation, saying only that the issue is to be considered. The Ombudsman apparatus told the same thing.
Rustan Garayev was arrested on July 20 and sentenced to 20 day of administrative detention. The leadership of PPFA believes that the arrest of Garayev has ordered. Currently in custody are more than 10 members of PFPA. At the same time, Azerbaijani officials state the absence of political prisoners in the country. -0-
