The Council of Europe examines the risks and threats to journalists
The Council of Europe launched a study on the topic:
"Risks for Journalists", which is held in conjunction with a number of international journalists' organizations. The goal is to study the threats and challenges faced by the media in the Council of Europe.
"The work of journalists is often associated with risk and danger. Journalists are subjected to unjustified obstacles during operation that can generate a high level of fear. Attacks and psychological pressure led to self-censorship," read the press release of the Council of Europe.
In this regard, the Council of Europe Information Department has initiated a comprehensive study about undue interference in the work of journalists in Europe. The study is expected to conduct an anonymous survey of at least 1,000 journalists in all 47 Council of Europe member states.
Respondents are asked to answer questions related to the attacks and violations of physical integrity of journalists, harassment, impunity for crimes against media representatives, a reliable source of protection. The results will be analyzed and compiled under the direction of Professor Marilyn Clark of the University of Malta in collaboration with the European Federation of Journalists, "The index of censorship," the International Institute for the safety of journalists and the organization "Reporters without Borders".
The questionnaire is available to all who wish to participate in the survey in English, French, Turkish, Russian and Serbian languages:

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
