The Narimanov Baku Court accepted the suit from singer Matanat Iskenderli against the editor and correspondent of the site Aznevs.az.
According to editor Elchin Zahidoglu, the court rejected the defense motion not to accept the case, and appointed its consideration on June 25. The editor said that before filing a lawsuit they contacted the singer and reached an agreement to settle the conflict peacefully, but later Iskenderli still decided to sue.
Two months ago there appeared a specified material on the site where the singer was named drug addicted, and that was the reason for the claim. A singer demanded the arrest of the editor and correspondent, as well as to fine the site 500,000 manat as moral compensation.-05B-
