The court does not release MNS generals under house arrest
On Tuesday Sabunchu court continued preliminary hearing on the case of three former generals MNB and a large group of officers of the dissolved departments of the country.
The defendants are the Generals: Subahir Gurbanov, Teymur Guliyev and Natavan Mirvetova and senior officers: Fuzuli Aliyev Zaur Mamedov, Natik Alyev, Farhad Atayev, Anar Shiraliyev, Eshgin Aliyev and Elshad Azizov.
The trial is held behind the closed doors. After the meeting, the lawyers told reporters that they applied for the replacement of the preventive measure - arrest to house arrest. However, the court rejected the request. The lawyers also asked for time to study the case. The trial is postponed for 21 February.
These officers are accused of serious crimes over the years, including extortion, fraud, racketeering, illegal surveillance and arrest, etc..
As a result of their activities to individuals, businesses and organizations were called a multi-million dollar damage. In the case were arrested total more than 20 high-ranking officers of the MNS, including four Generals. -02D-
