The Court of Appeal leaves the Facebook activis in custody
Baku Appeals Court rejected the complaint of the Facebook activist Khalid Khanlarova who was arrested for 25 days on charges of not subordinating police. At the same time, the court did not satisfy any of the defense motions, said the lawyer Shahla Humbatova.
In his complaint the arrested asked to cancel the decision of Binagadi court. At the trial counsel requested to summon employees of the post-patrol police who detained Khanlarov.
Humbatova also petitioned for viewing records video surveillance cameras at the entrance-exit to the Interior Ministry for January 23 after 11:45. The fact is that on January 23 at the time Khanlarov was in the Interior Ministry. He was arrested just after he left the Interior Ministry. He was taken to Binagadi Police Department, and then to the court, which arrested the activists.
According to unofficial information, the Interior Ministry had been asked to stop critical publications, but he refused. At the same time, without naming specific publications, the young man said that by his writings he undertakes a lot of things.
Khanlarov is a student at the University of "Caucasus". According to colleagues, he had previously been manager of the satirical group "Dittili" ("Mosquito") in Facebook .. -05B-
