The Ministry of Health urged to take precautions to protect against infections
Baku/30.12.23/Turan: The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan appealed to the population to take precautions to protect themselves from measles and other infectious diseases. Due to the winter season and unstable weather, cases of infection with respiratory diseases, as well as seasonal influenza infection, have become more frequent, there is an increase in the incidence of measles in the country, the appeal says in particular.
According to the Ministry of Health, "groups of the population with high susceptibility to seasonal respiratory diseases, as well as measles, include children who for some reason have not received preventive vaccinations, and people with concomitant diseases."
In this regard, the Ministry of Health recommends that in the coming weekends and holidays, especially for people with increased susceptibility, use personal respiratory protection equipment (medical masks), observe hand hygiene, and include vitamin-rich foods in the daily diet.—06B-
