The prosecutor's office is investigating the scam of trade unionists in connection with the "sale" of the stadium "Mahsul"
Baku/17.08.22/Turan: A criminal case has been launched against the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Union of Sports Organizations, Nadir Aliyev, and the head of the Yasamal sports and health club, Namig Hasanov, who are accused of fraud.
The Office for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General received information that Aliyev and Hasanov took money from a number of entrepreneurs, promising them to sell the territory of the "Mahsul" stadium in the Yasamal district of the capital, the message of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The investigation established that Aliyev and Hasanov promised to sell the indicated territory of 1.26 hectares for the construction of a multi-storey building for 5.5 million manats.
As a deposit and, allegedly, bribes for the leadership of the Confederation of Trade Unions, they received 900,000 manats from entrepreneurs.
In addition, Hasanov, under the same pretext, received 360,000 manats from another businessman.
In connection with the above facts, Aliyev and Hasanov were charged under the Article 178.4 (fraud, causing major damage) and 32.4, 312.1 (incitement to give a bribe) and 32.4, 312.2 (repeated incitement to give a bribe) of the Criminal Code.
In relation to both, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen by a court decision. Preliminary investigation of the criminal case continues.—06B-
