Baku/05.01.24/Turan: Sevil Ibayeva, a student of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, died on January 4 at the Jalilabad Central District Hospital, where she was admitted with suspected measles, local media reported.
The Association for the Management of Turan Territorial Medical Units reported that the girl was taken to the hospital in serious condition and placed in the intensive care unit. "She was diagnosed with unconfirmed pneumonia. Despite providing the necessary medical care, she died on January 4," the hospital said.
It should be noted that the number of cases of measles has increased in Azerbaijan recently. Although the official statistics of the cases are not disclosed, according to unofficial data, several hundred people are infected. At least five people died from measles.-03B06-
