Baku / 09.05.18 / Turan: A solemn ceremony dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory over fascism in the Second World War was held in Baku at the monument to the twice Hero of the Soviet Union Hazi Aslanov.
The ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, and other officials of state and government.
Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva met with the veterans and congratulated them on the Victory Day.
The head of state laid a wreath at the monument to Hazi Aslanov, honoring the bright memory of the brave general, as well as all the brave sons and daughters of Azerbaijan, who displayed heroism in World War II, and millions of people who contributed to the defeat of fascism. -05D06-
