«Website Blockade» Games Continue in Azerbaijan
The blockade of the websites Voice of America and Radio Liberty and also a number of local opposition websites continues in Azerbaijan. The blockade is removed and then administered again, creating problems for the readers.
From 15 December the website of the leading opposition newspaper of the country, Azadlig, has been blocked.
These "games of hide and seek" have been going on for weeks. Blockade of the above websites happens as soon as a critical article about the top leadership of the country appears there.
The Ministry of Communications cannot or does not consider it necessary to explain why access to these websites is free outside of Azerbaijan and who or what is blocking them here.
A number of international organizations made statements before, accusing the authorities of Azerbaijan of the blockade of these websites. -02B-
