Human rights activists in Moscow will hold a rally in front of the Embassy of Azerbaijan
On October 9, at 15:00 a protest will be held before the embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow, demanding the release of Leyla and Arif Yunus.
The action is organized by a well-known human rights activist, leader of the organization Memorial Svetlana Gannushkina.
In their address to the public, the organizers said:
“On 30 July this year, the Azerbaijani authorities arrested Leyla and, a little later, Arif. Their human right advocacy, the Institute for Peace and Democracy they created, and their public position and unwillingness to bend before the authoritarian regime of Aliyev has repeatedly led to conflicts with the authorities. Now they are accused of allegedly entering into an agreement with representatives of special services of Armenia, recruiting agents for the Armenian intelligence and passing military secrets to the special services of Armenia since 1992. To delusional charges of treason, in the spirit of the Stalinist era, there were added no less absurd criminal charges - fraud, tax evasion, etc. Well, we know how these masters prepare their political brew, adding a criminal seasoning to their liking.
Colleagues! Friends! Leyla and Arif are no longer young and they stand their imprisonment with difficulty. They are sick, and you do know perfectly well what prison in the authoritarian ex-Soviet republic is. We cannot release them ourselves, as we would like to, but we can express our protest to the authorities of Azerbaijan and their diplomatic representatives in Moscow." -02D-

Modern wars test humanity's resilience, compelling a reevaluation of priorities and values. In such times, it is especially crucial to demonstrate not only strength but also a commitment to the principles of international law and humanity. Ukraine, facing an unprecedented scale of armed aggression from the Russian Federation, continues to uphold the norms of international humanitarian law (IHL) while resisting this aggression. The Voluntary Report presented by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has become a symbol of transparency, accountability, and the pursuit of justice.

"Human rights" derive their foundation from justice. Justice is natural and connected to creation. From the moment of birth, this right is naturally granted to every person. Law, however, is something given — limited to what parliaments deem appropriate for us. The extent to which parliament represents justice and fairness is always a matter of debate.
