For almost a month, the well-known economist, one of the civil society activists Jafarov Natiq Mehman oglu by the decision of Nasimi district court was imprisoned to four months as a suspect in the commission of acts provided by Articles of the Criminal Code 192.1 (illegal entrepreneurship) and 308.2 (abuse of power.)
Jafarov Natiq, one of the prominent economists of the country, regularly through the media acted with practical proposals to the Government to improve the current economic situation in the country. His practical advice recommendations were based on love for the homeland, and its development.
Dear Mr. President!
During the last period the abolition of such accusations against civil society activists raised hopes about the possibility of the resumption of normal dialogue between government and civil society. Now, however, the involvement of Natig Jafarli the investigation on similar charges and his arrest has caused great concern.
Dear Mr. President!
Taking into account that as the President of the Azerbaijan Republic you are guarantor of independence of judicial power, please take under the personal control of the case Natig Jafarli.
