Archaeological finds of the Bronze Age in the Yardimli region
Baku/16.09.19/Turan: Near the village of Kurekchi in the Yardimli region in southern Azerbaijan, archaeologists made an important discovery of the Bronze Age, the press service of the National Academy of Sciences said.
During excavations of one of the barrows the employees of the Institute of Archeology of Azerbaijan discovered a man"s grave.
During excavations of the mound near the village of Alar, objects of material culture were also discovered from the Bronze Age.
In the next mound, a rich burial of a man was discovered. Ceramic dishes were placed next to him, and weapons made of bronze - a dagger and a saber.
Anthropological studies of the discovered skeletons are currently underway.
Archaeologists attribute the discovered burial to the beginning of the first millennium BC.
In this region, a series of barrows was discovered that have not yet been investigated by archaeologists. The expedition was led by Anar Agalarzade, a researcher at the Institute of Archeology. -16D-
