Among the winners of the festival was also a well-known Lithuanian producer and director, the author of the documentary Endless Corridor Aleksandras Brokas. This film won the festival prize from three nominations. It tells about the Khojaly tragedy.
The state award shows that the film author was awarded high marks for the promotion and protection of high humanistic ideas. Royal World Prize rewards Brokas for his cultural achievement, in art, and for his contribution for humanity.
Presenting the award, King of Bali, Anak Agung Bagus Sutedja said that the film Endless Corridor was the epitome of human compassion and demonstrated that human suffering has no borders, as well as humanity. In addition to this award, Brokas was also awarded the title Actor of High Humanistic Ideas and Contribution to Culture.
Brokas told Radio Liberty that for him such an assessment is an opportunity to remind the world about the value of human reconciliation and tolerance, as well as the need to show the way to peace through culture.
