General Turkic history will be taught in the schools of the Turkic countries
Ankara/03.04.18/Turan: The Ministry of National Education of Turkey introduces the subject of "Common Turkic history" into the curriculum of eighth grades of secondary schools, Anadolu agency reported. The subject is planned to be taught facultatively from the beginning of the next academic year in secondary schools of all countries participating in the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
At the meeting on November 22, 2014 in the city of Eskisehir, the ministers of education of the member countries of the Turkic Council agreed on the need to prepare a single textbook on the history of the Turkic peoples.
The manual "Common Turkic history" was prepared by a special commission with the involvement of international experts on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Turkic Council informed the Turkish Education Minister Ismet Yılmaz about the completion of the work on the new textbook. Yilmaz, in turn, instructed the Education and Upbringing Department under the Ministry to evaluate this textbook, after which the subject will be included in the curriculum. The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan has not commented on this report yet. -02D-

In a world increasingly marred by the effects of climate change, art has emerged as an unexpected, yet powerful, platform for raising awareness and sparking conversations on environmental responsibility. One such endeavor is the exhibition "A Different Kind of Climate," currently on display at Kapellhaus with support from the Goethe-Institut. The timing of this exhibition is no coincidence, aligning with the upcoming COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. The exhibition seeks to engage audiences on pressing ecological issues, blending local and international perspectives.
