Mir TV Channel to Show Film about History of South Caucasus
On 27 December at 8:15 (Moscow time) the TV channel Mir will show the premiere of the second film from the documentary series Secrets of Time. It will tell about the ancient Strabo trade routes. The filming took place in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ingushetia.
"This road is named after the Greek geographer Strabo, who was the first to mention this route. The way came from China and India, through Central Asia and Azerbaijan. Here, it was divided into two branches: one went up the river Kura in the direction of Colchis and Iberia, and the second went along the western coast of the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus through the Derbent steppe," said the film director Dmitry Khodakovsky.
The documentary travel study will tell the viewers what Romans searched in ancient Baku, who put "the stones of warriors" in Karahunj and about the story of 700 caves in Uplistsikhe. The viewers will learn about the places of power on the trade routes and solve puzzles left by the ancestors. This is stated in the press release the channel sent to the agency Turan.
It is strange that the movie will be demonstrated early in the morning and will not be seen in the countries described in it. -02D-
