The abbot Alexy
The book of Abbot Alexy about Caucasian Albania was published in the Russian Academy of Sciences
Baku/29.05.21/Turan: In Moscow, the Russian Academy of Sciences republished the book of Abbot Alexy on the history of Albania and the Albanian Church. This time, the monograph, published in Baku and Makhachkala, was published under the auspices of the authoritative international oriental research center - the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, historian Eldar Ginesli told Turan.
The title of the book: "History of the Church of Caucasian Albania according to Moses Kalankatuisky".
The abbot Alexy, a Baku resident, Doctor of Church History, is currently the rector of the Orthodox Church in Merano (Italy). For many years, he has been dealing with the history of Caucasian Albania and its church, exposing the falsifications of Armenian historiography. In particular, he exposes the Armenian myth that the history of this religion in the Caucasus began with the Armenians.
The abbot Alexy is known for his publications on the origin of Azerbaijanis. "The Azerbaijani ethnos was formed in the Caucasian region for three millennia. And it is based on a purely Caucasian element - the tribes that lived here since prehistoric times, the tribes that formed a political confederation that formed the state of Caucasian Albania," he writes in one of his works.-0-
