Azerbaijan and Kuwait Sign Intergovernmental Agreement on Air Communication
The President of CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Jahangir Asgarov and Director General of Kuwait Civil Aviation Yousef Al-Fouzan signed an intergovernmental agreement on air communication between the two countries on November 16.
By signing the intergovernmental agreement, the parties remove obstacles to the opening of air links between the countries, which will contribute to the further development of bilateral economic and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait. This is stated in the press service of Azerbaijan's Civil Aviation Administration (ACAA).
It is not reported why the head of the state airline, and not a representative of ACAA, signed the document.
In particular, the National Carrier of Azerbaijan AZAL and the freight carrier Silk Way Airlines are studying the possibility of opening direct flights to the city of Kuwait. At the same time the airline of Kuwait Al Jazeera plans to open direct flights to our country.
It should be noted that the signing of the agreement took place on the eve of the presentation of the tourist potential of the Azerbaijan market in Kuwait on November 24. --08D--
