Companies providing taxi services, have losses
In the first quarter of this year, companies providing taxi services, gained 126,000 manat. At the same time, revenues from passenger transportation by taxi reduced compared with the same period of last year by 43%. Reduction in income of the taxi firms is not clear on the background of their car fleet.
According to the State Statistics Committee (SSC) , only seven companies, providing taxi services, made reports. Among them, there is not "Baki Taxi Company" (part of a group of companies "Baglan Group FZCO"), which has 1,000 cars TX4 (London Taxi). The company refused to disclose revenues. It is known that in the first quarter, there were 500 cars, and the daily plan for their drivers was 40 manat. In the second quarter the number of cars doubled, and a plan for revenue was reduced by half.
According to SSC, taking into account the individuals in the first quarter, revenue from passenger transportation by taxi is 23 million manat, by 4,6% more than during the same period in 2011.
Over five months in 2012 in Azerbaijan 20.2 million passengers were carried by taxi, by 10.8% more than over the same period last year. 08B
