Due to Russia Exports of Azerbaijan’s Agricultural Products Increased by Almost a Third
A conference "Non-oil exports: today's challenges and opportunities" has begun in Baku.
According to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Seyfaddin Talibov, the main importer of the local agricultural industry products is the Russian Federation - 90% of the produced fruits and vegetables are supplied to this country.
"Azerbaijan accounts for 3.5% of Russia's imports of vegetables and 2.7% of its fruit imports (11th position among the countries). Local products of the agricultural industry and private producers are of the highest quality, so it is sold at relatively high prices," he said.
The Deputy Minister reported the official figures – by 1 October compared to the same period last year, agricultural exports grew by 31.9%, with 90% of exports being vegetables, including potatoes, and fruit. --17D-
