In September, market of existing homes showed relative activeness
In September in Baku and other major cities the secondary housing market showed relatively activeness, however, prices remained unchanged. According to estimates of the public association Consumers in Property Market, currently the mid-price index is about 1,312 dollars per 1 square meter. The apartments, which cost below the average price, amounted to more than 50 % of the total portfolio. According to estimates, within a month the average price of apartments offered for sale amounted to 118.2 thousand U.S. dollars.
The most attractive areas of the capital were still Yasamal , Nasimi , Narimanov and Khatai - more than 75 % of the total share. The most popular are 1 and 2 room apartments, while the demand for 3, 4 and 5 room apartments declined.
Experts believe that the relative activity on the secondary market in September is related to mortgage lending, as well as compensation issued to citizens whose homes were demolished. In the coming days, the activity in this market will continue, and prices will be mostly stable, although there will be an upward trend in prices.
