Manat monetary base at the end of October this year amounted to 9291.3 million manat, decreased in the reporting period by 8.5 mln.
According to the Central Bank, since the beginning of the year the monetary base increased 1,015.9 million or 12.3 percent.
Monetary base is the amount of cash and cash commercial banks deposited with the Central Bank as required reserves. With this money the Central Bank fulfills its obligations to commercial banks and government agencies. - 15B -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
